What was your hardest home improvement project?

For me, I'd have to say fixing up and painting the kitchen cabinets. I wish we could afford to totally remodel the kitchen but more important things are needing our money right now. It's been a lot of hard work getting them sanded and filling the holes and mostly just cleaning them up. Next on the agenda is to clean them with TSP and get them primed and painted and then put on the new hardware... I'm still experimenting with the hinges because I can't just buy new hinges for the doors and spray painting them doesn't seem to be working very well either... We'll see what happens.

How do you let off steam?

I have to workout everyday in order to let off some steam... I've noticed that since I stopped working out in order to move that I haven't been the most pleasant person to be around. This week I ordered a new double stroller and I plan to get some new running shoes and then I hope to get out first thing in the morning with the kids to run around the new neighborhood. I can't wait!

Is the internet a luxury or necessity?

I used to think it was a luxury but after being without it for 2 weeks while shopping for appliances and other stuff for the house, I realized it has become much more of a necessity for us. We like to bargain hunt and it was really hard to do when you're running around with 2 kiddos to store after store after store and then the bargain would be gone by the time we went back. It's really great to be back online again... I really missed everyone!

My favorite color is orange... I like the citrusy orange better than the burnt orange but really I just love all shades of orange.

What is your favorite season and why?


My favorite season is autumn, I just love the colors and I love the cooler weather. During the autumn, I love to take the kids out to the zoo or the Arboretum and just walk around and not worry about overheating or freezing our bottoms.
