It's been a long time since I've done one of these! I love editing photos and decided it would be a nice little break from cleaning house today to do a quick Fix It.
Original

...back to snuggling with my kiddos... Have a great Friday!
This week's fix at iHeartFaces was a bit more difficult than usual, but what a sweet little girl. First in LR2 I used the auto tone preset to fix the exposure a bit. I then used the brush adjustment tool to increase the exposure around the eyes and her face. Then I opened that up in PSE6 and it was pretty grainy so I decided to have some fun with actions and textures. I used CoffeeShop Butterscotch Vintage, flattened and then used CoffeeShop Attic Vintage using the scratchy vintage texture that they suggest on their website. I used the brush tool at 50% and a not so solid brush to hide some of the texture on the girl's skin. I decided to go even further with the vintage look and used an awesome template by Penny Springmann from her All Worn Out Photograph and Paper Overlays 2.
A new week for Fix It Friday at i Heart Faces... and of course another cutie patootie! I evened out the exposure on his face in LR2 and then played around with color and stuff in PSE6. I really need to write the things down that I do so that I can really share what I've done, lol. I think I need a little notebook to put on my desk. Anyways...

the second one was made as part of my February porfolio at Sweet Shoppe Designs, it's called Honey I Shrunk the Template and you're to shrink the elements and everything on a template and use that for your page. I used a template by Susan Robinson who I CT for and the kit used was Penny Springmann's Doodles and Damasks which I LOVE LOVE LOVE and will be using over and over again. I guess I should note that the pictures on this layout are of Isaac... he's such a beautiful boy and got a comment about how my precious little girl is too cute... well yes, Moriah is too cute, and so is this sweet boy who has proven himself to be all boy for sure. Gotta love escaping a diaper change and then crawling to the corner... then looking at his goods, laughing and then peeing all over the floor... I know he did it on purpose just to frustrate me, lol. OK, back on track... I love this page and I loved shrinking the template that I may do it again.
Lastly, is this one which was fun to do. It's also a part of the portfolio challenges and it was to scrap an important event in my life using only black, white and grey. I had this kit by Traci, Hip To Be, that I just love and I thought it would be perfect for a wedding picture. The problem is back then digital cameras were sooooo new so I only had one pic from our wedding and our scanner is on it's last leg so I couldn't scan any of the better pictures. Anyways, I still think it turned out nice. For the waves I used Edgy by Traci and the font is my custom print font by Darcy Baldwin. The little journaling mat was a clipping mask that I shrunk from Traci's Matted.
OK well, that's it for today... I'll have more tomorrow from my CTs' (creative teams) new releases...
Moving my i heart faces Fix It Friday posts to this blog... I think I'm going to let my photography blog die... it's not like anyone was following me anyways, lol...
