Scrappin' Saturday

Last night after a full day of Christmas activities, I got straight to work on my homework assignments for the Design Your Life class... This week's lesson is on Balance and it's a pretty basic thing but something I've never thought of before and my perfectionist self is surprised I never thought of it before. Anyways, as you can tell I have a new favorite picture and I've been posting it a bunch here... I thought, I really need to scrap it and thought this was the perfect opportunity.

Before I show you my page I wanted to share with you all something fun... One of the blogs I follow is The Daily Digi and at the first of the month they have a huge package of kits available for $5 and it's available only that month before the individual designer's make the kits available for the regular price. Anyways, during the month they start revealing some of the kits available and by the end of the month you'll see everything in it. Well, the exciting part is that Sweet Shoppe Designs which is my favorite digi scrapbooking store is the sponsor this month along with one of my fave designers having a kit available too. So, I snatched it up before any of the reveals. It's so awesome and super girly and perfect for a Book of ME and for some girly Moriah pages. The alpha I used in the assignment layout is from Traci Reed's kit that's included in that huge kit for only $5.

Ok, on with the layout... In addition to Traci Reed's kit, I used her Bad Sewing Machine - Lil Bits kit. I also used The Village Market by ScrapKitchen, and the template was from Cathy Z for the assignment. I turned the template 90 degrees to work with the photo I love so much.
