Well, I've decided to make this my last Trim Down Tuesday... This past week has been really stressful and what do I do when I'm stressed out? I eat and eat and eat... I also was so busy that I couldn't get any exercise in this week. Lastly, everyone in this household has a terrible summer cold so doing the shred was not in my best interest anyways. I gained 3lbs this week. I've decided that blogging about my measurements and weight just aren't in my best interest right now. My first goal is to be happy with the body I was given. I really need to focus on being healthy and strong and not on numbers. The numbers don't make me feel good or healthy or strong so they have to go. I need to focus on truly being gluten free and low carb due to my gluten intolerance and insulin resistance. Once I get my diet down then I know I will feel better and won't be having the health issues I'm having because I'm eating foods that are so bad on my body. So, as I'm packing up my apartment for the move... I think I'll be leaving the scale packed up, never to see it again. I don't want this for my kids either, it's not cool to see my daughter stepping on the scale every morning just like her mother. It's much more cool for us to go for walks and to run around the fields at the Arboretum and play tag and fun games like that.
Adios scale!

Good for you!! I've always thought that health is not about the size of your waist, but about how you feel about yourself and how you feel... and if you're feeling good and healthy, then that's great!!! :)
Great decision. You'll know how you're doing by how you're feeling and how your clothes fit.
After not stepping on the scale for years (except at the doctor's) I've been way to focused on it since doing the Shred. It's not because I'm obsessed with a certain number, I just like to get feedback and see results. But I don't like how much I'm thinking about it (the scale). I might have to join you in a little weighing hiatus.
I think you've made an excellent choice. Your kids and their body images will be healthier, too!
If you need help with the gluten-free and low-carb lifestyle, the Yahoo group over at Foodlab (http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/foodlab/) is an excellent resource and support system.
