FOBTY - October 29nd

This week's FOBTY on Sweet Shoppe Designs to is talk about my favorite Halloween Candy. I'm not much of a candy person, but more of a baked goods person but I'd have to say I love Mounds. I love dark chocolate and coconut together... I wish they would make Almond Joys with dark chocolate because then they would be my favorites. Other than Mounds I really like anything with dark chocolate so I like Milky Way Darks too. Anything with milk chocolate though is just too sweet for me. I didn't used to be this way though, I used to love sweets. Oh and if it has a little bit of salt to them those would be the best! If I could find some gluten free pretzels dipped in dark chocolate that would be the best ever. Hmm... now I'm thinking I need to head on over to the store and get me some gluten free pretzels and some dark chocolate and make them myself, YUM!

In searching for a photo to go with this blog post, I found this yummy looking recipe... I definitely think I need to go to the store now.

FOBTY - October 15th

Today's challenge on Sweet Shoppe Designs is to blog about what kind of shopper I am for Christmas. I would consider myself a combination of 2 different shoppers. I'm the one who shops throughout the year if I see something that would be perfect and it's something I can only get right now, say from a resale store or something like that. If I don't find things throughout the year, I'm totally a procrastinator. I'm the one that goes shopping on Christmas Eve and fights the crowds and totally regrets it and hates it. I hate crowds and I actually hate shopping around Christmas because I hate all the "Westernized Christmas stuff". I just prefer to stay at home and hang out with my family. I wish my personality allowed me to be more organized and buy everything ahead of time. I think my laid back, go with the flow personality would never allow for that though, lol. I also think that my dislike of "stuff" also contributes to not wanting to go shopping for Christmas. I guess that's why I'd prefer things like Arboretum memberships and not "stuff" that will sit in the closet until I decide to go on a purging binge and send everything to goodwill. This makes shopping difficult too because my kids want toys... gotta love resale stores for "stuff" like this, lol. I'm not looking forward to the day that they come to me with a list of "stuff" that they want, sigh...
