I'm a DIVA...

One of Eva's Divas that is! I got a message from Eva this week asking me to join her creative team and I'm really excited to be a part of it. I got right to work and here is my first layout for this week's release. I love this picture and always wanted to scrap it but it wasn't until I saw the colors in Eva's new kit that I knew I needed to use it for that pic. The kit is called Just Breathe which I think is an awesome reminder that I need to relax a little bit and well... just breathe.
On Fridays at Sweet Shoppe Designs they post a new featured scrapper which includes a bonus challenge for our portfolios. The new challenge is an adorable template. Check it out here, I think you'll love it! I decided it was perfect for doing a layout of Isaac's baby pictures using Traci's new kit, I Loved Her First. I LOVE this new kit, it's so perfect for those baby pictures and I think it will be perfect for some great girly pages of Moriah.
On Thursday, I got my new lesson for my Design Your Life class and it was on repetition. I had a great time using the templates and using up some of my many unused kits... my folder is finally getting a bit smaller. Here are the pages I did for it... the first one is a two pager so even though I have the pages seperate, you see the repetition better when you have the pages put together. I used Fallin' 4 You add on by Fee Jardine for this one which is part of the 2009 Sweet Shoppe Quarterly Assortment vol. 3.
This is my second assignment, it's a one pager and I used Picasso by Dani Mogstad which is also part of the 2009 Sweet Shoppe Designs quarterly assortment vol.3.
This morning I got my real world color assignment for Design Your Life class for this week so I'm off to work on that hopefully tonight after the kids are in bed and while Mark is watching the Colts came.

Oh.... I almost forgot... here's my P365, week 2 page! I used the same alphas, paper and ink border as last week... but I used a different frame template. I used Page Parts: Photo Clusters by Krystal Hartley

No Foto Friday today

I've been sporting a migraine the past two days and just have not been up to even converting them to .jpg from RAW let alone doing any post processing. Stay tuned, hopefully next week I'll feel up to working on them. Check out my P365 for some fun pics from this week.

P365 and other scrapping...

I've been having fun working on some more projects... First is my layout for week 1 of P365. I used alphas from several kits and freebies and the frames came from 247365 The Soundtrack of our lives by Traci Reed and Meghan Mullens. I had fun using all the different alphas and it fit for one of the Sweet Shoppe Designs Portfolio Challenges to use at least 8 different alphas, YAY! Anyways, here it is...
Speaking of that 247385 kit... there a some great 2-pager templates in there and I just couldn't resist using it for this next layout. I've never done a 2-pager before... it was quite fun... speaking of fun... I'm excited about the awesome new bad sewing machine kit that Traci released today... it's made for 2-pagers... I LOVE Traci's sewing machine, seriously LOVE it! Speaking of Traci, I don't think I told you all that I won a guest spot on her creative team... well, I didn't actually win but she was super nice and offered me a guest spot too because I used all 31 of the Cookies 4 Kids templates to make pages using her goodies and entered them in the contest she was running last month, I was short by 7 layouts made by a super sweet digiscrapper that I loved competing with and totally inspired me. I have to say I'm super excited and have loved being on the team this week! Traci and her creative team totally ROCK, and I've been so inspired by them and their amazing talent. So, here's the layout I did with her new bad sewing machine Wrecktangles 12x24", and one of her fun summer kits, Sunny Sorbet.
and more use of that awesome sewing machine... this is another page made for my book of me, inspired by the Sweet Shoppe Designs' portfolio challenge, doing a page that answered the question of what song would come on when I entered a room... I LOVE, like seriously LOVE, like wanna marry it, LOVE the retro papers in Traci's kit Maude N Millie (you'd think I was a stalker or something with how much I mention Traci on this blog, lol). I also used Bad Sewing Machine Fleuriffic, Lil Bits & once again Wrecktangles. If you're wondering where the floral bad sewing machine is... hint, check out the sweet border around the scalloped paper ;)
OK, and here's a layout using her new release for today, seriously GORGEOUS and perfect for sweet Moriah pics and I think I'll be using it for my Book Of Me in the following months... if you look closely you'll also notice I used that bad sewing machine Wrecktanges again. Her new kit is called Live Your Life has great elements and gorgeous papers... I just LOVE the dandelion and the doodled flowers!
OK, off to work on my Design Your Life class assignments...

Project 365 again!

My New Project 365 Blog

Well, I've decided to give Project 365 another try for 2010. I've set up a new blog and am ready for 2010 to get here to get started. I will probably post the pictures on that blog and then every week I'll have a scrapbook page made using all the pictures that week and will post the scrapbook page here... now the fun part is finding a template I like or making one myself and organizing all the supplies I want to use because at the end of the year I'll probably get them all printed and put in a book so I want them all to look similar. I did get a bunch of stuff for free w/ purchase from Sweet Shoppe Designs which will be perfect since they're dates and neutral papers and stuff like that. I'm really excited about doing it this year.

Speaking of scrapbooking, did you all know that we have a weekly scrapbook challenge going on on My Great Retreat? Come join in the fun! http://www.mygreatretreat.com/
