a trip to urgent care...

We had our first trip to urgent care since we've moved here... Moriah took a spill and hit her foot pretty hard on the stair banister. I didn't think anything of it and figured she'd be fine after some rest. So, we sat on the couch and watched TV and videos all afternoon and cuddled. Well, she wouldn't stop crying and she wouldn't walk on it at all and we decided to take her to urgent care to see if it's broken. Turns out it wasn't, thankfully. I did a cute little page to document that day.

She wouldn't walk on her foot for another day and then yesterday she "forgot" that her foot hurt and I "caught" her playing on it and gave out a HUGE CHEER! She gave me this look like, "oops, I got caught" and then decided to play it up and pretend like her foot was finally healed and was telling everyone that she was finally walking on her foot.

Anyways, after that HUGE copay... I'm going to stick to my instincts from now on which had told me she was playing it up. (Mark caught her playing with her foot while they were in the room waiting for the results of the x-rays, grr) Oh, the joys of raising a girl, LOL... she really is a sweet girl and I love her to death and she brings me so much joy. It may be a challenge raising girls but I'm lovin' it.

Glad she is really okay. I hate it when you KNOW 99% that they are really okay and just exaggerating, but there's always that nagging 1% in the back of your mind that wonders. And of course, if it really were broken and you shrugged it off, you'd feel guilty forever, so off you go to urgent care and HELLO BIG COPAY! :D
